Important message to customers buying Sodium Hypochlorite
Due to the new EU Regulation on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances (EC 1272/2008, CLP) solutions with more than 2,5 % active chlorine are now classified as Dangerous to the Environment (N; R50). More information about this new classification is available on the Eurochlor homepage.
Please be aware that with the new classification of sodium hypochlorite the so-called Seveso II Directive (Directive 96/82/EC amended by the Directive 2003/105/EC) now applies to establishments storing sodium hypochlorite in quantities exceeding the thresholds given in the relevant directives.
In consequence of the modified classification of sodium hypochlorite Solvay Chemicals International and its online business channel Esolion has updated the respective product data sheets as well as the safety data sheets.
